what I can help with - Fertility Difficulties

Woman crying with negative pregnancy test

Fertility Difficulties

I have worked with several people who are experiencing ongoing fertility difficulties, including unexplained infertility, POI, complex IVF journeys, secondary infertility and those who have experienced miscarriage. I know first-hand the impact these experiences can have, both on your own well-being, and on your relationship as a couple.

It can feel like a never-ending cycle of anxiety, worry, disappointment and loss. Your relationship can be put under immense strain as the focus becomes all about having a baby. And, as society often encourages us not to talk about these difficulties, it can feel very lonely. It can feel like everyone else in your life is happy, getting pregnant and having babies, which leads to thoughts such as, “why us”.

I can support you on this journey in a number of ways. Whether it be providing a space to make sense of your experiences, using compassion focused therapy to help you bring kindness and compassion to yourself during this difficult time, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing sessions to help you process the traumas you have experienced, or Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to help bring you closer as a couple again, Hope in Mind Psychology is here to help.
